Annual Chicago Street Festival Mixes Music,
Shopping and Fun under the Summer Sun!
The annual Do-Division Street Fest & Sidewalk Sale rings in Summer Fest Season for a 7th consecutive year Friday, May 31st through Sunday, June 2nd. The signature West Town event combines all the best elements of a great Chicago street fest: a rousing live music bill, local independent retailers and artisans, and exciting family fun. The 2013 Fest also features a new 'Do-Fashion' area - helping give the estimated 75,000-plus attendees a taste of what makes Division Street one of the hottest entertainment and cultural corridors in the Midwest!
Where Is What?
Street Fest: Division Street from Damen to Leavitt
Family Fun Fest: Hoyne from Crystal to Potomac, and Crystal from Hoyne to Damen
Do Fashion Fest: Hoyne from Division to Crystal
Sidewalk Sale: Division Street from Damen to Ashland (no street closure)
The music at Do-Division Street Fest features original bands - from cutting edge to national touring acts - and djs continuously on two stages from Friday to Sunday. Music critics and fans alike typically rate the lineup among the best of the music fest season - and it only cost a fraction of the ticket price as most of the others (a $5 suggested donation is asked for admittance). This year's live music announcement will be announced in mid-April. The two live music main stages are programmed by Empty Bottle Presents and Subterranean / House Call Entertainment. The Family Fun Fest (Sat - Sun Only 12-6pm)

MSI will bring several related activities which will educate and entertain a wide range of ages. The Shedd Aquarium will also be returning this year with aquatic fun. Also back are many of the popular activities including: The Easel Art Studio Craft Tent, punk rock hair styling by Psycho Baby, The Kids Table, face painting, the Children's Learning Place Toddler Zone, two bounce houses, mini-golf, pony rides, and Nail Boutique with mini manicures. Plus boogie on down at the Family Fun Fest stage! Schedule TBA. 100% of Proceeds from Do-Division Family Fun Fest go to Friends of Pritzker School and LaSalle II PTO, two local public elementary schools.

The Sidewalk Sale
Division Street between Ashland and Leavitt is packed with trendy salons, spas, cafes,
bakeries and boutiques in addition to droves of popular restaurants that can satisfy any craving. Throughout the weekend, many of local merchants participate in the elaborate sidewalk sale that spans east of the street fest - from Damen to Ashland offering great deals on everything from local designer garments to fine hand-made jewelry.
New to Do-Division Street Fest this year is Do-Fashion, a fest-within-a-fest focused exclusively on the latest styles from the Division Street Corridor. Produced by MGO Fashion Salon, Do-Fashion will take place Friday through Sunday on Hoyne (just north of Division within the fest site), and feature a who's who of Division Street designer pop-up shops. The highlight here will be the Do-Fashion Shows -happening periodically throughout the weekend - showcasing the hottest kids, teen and adult looks from the hood!
